How to Live Longer and Look Younger by Embracing the Japanese Diet

The first secret of the Japanese diet is eating only until 80% full.
The food is always presented in a very Aesthetic way. It is usually served in beautiful dishes.
Rice is the main food in Japan, eaten at every meal, but fish is the main staple food, eaten every meal of the day.
Dairy and bread are not part of the diet!! Japanese hardly eat any white flour. Japanese noodles are made from buckwheat flour.
Soy beans are eaten in many forms – tofu, and fermented soy foods such as Miso, Tempeh and Natto. Soy products help reduce heart disease and high blood pressure and are a great source of protein.
The Japanese don’t eat sweet desserts. Their desserts have a very subtle sweet taste, which comes from pounded rice (mochi) and sweet bean paste, mashed sweet potatoes and chestnuts. These may sound a bit dull but believe me – their desserts are great!!
A food which is considered “brain food” in Japan is seaweed, added to soups and used for wrapping sushi.
